Fedden USP Limited appoint Basingstoke PR consultancy as European agency

November 28, 2009

UK-based business improvement consultancy headed by Neil Fedden, Fedden USP Limited, has appointed Basingstoke’s Headline Promotions, Press and Public Relations as their European PR agency.

Headline Promotions’ Managing Director, John Hicks, said: “Neil is a well respected management consultant with an impressive portfolio of clients – from Hendy Ford and the Horticultural Trades Association through to B&Q and the NHS.”

Neil and his team help businesses achieve significant ongoing cost savings and improved customer care through applying process improvement techniques which took the Japanese automotive industry to be world leaders. Those techniques are now applied beyond the manufacturing sector to horticultural, retail, government, the service sector and offices. In essence, its primary aim is to shorten the time taken from receiving an order until it is successfully delivered to the customer, and defines itself based on five key steps.

Typically, client companies are new to improvement techniques such as Lean or Service Design, and are eager to capitalise on the massive savings and increase in sales that can be achieved by their implementation. Learning from the implementation mistakes made in manufacturing, Fedden USP help retail and service companies put all the support systems in place that ensure that the initial improvements made are sustainable. They help companies achieve a culture of employee-led continuous improvement.

John and his team will ensure that Fedden USP case studies, and innovative techniques making a significant difference to the bottom line of medium and larger European businesses, are brought to the attention of the media and published in the trade press.

More information about the Fedden USP consultancy and in-house training services can be found at www.fedden-usp.co.uk. Headline Promotions, Press & PR can be found at www.headlinepromotions.webs.com.

Volunteer urgently needed for Thursday afternoons at Birch Hill

November 22, 2009

Can you help us to in finding a volunteer for a community group that meets once a week on a Thursday?

This group has been running in the area for a great many years and is at the brink of closure IF we can not find someone to carry on the great work that has been done by Michael Ayrton who is about to retire. The Bingo group there is looking for a volunteer to set out tables, call the bingo numbers and then clear away after.

The group runs every Thursday 1.30 – 3.30  athe Community Centre, Birch Hill, Bracknell.

It is called the Welcome Club and has been there for a very long time, but Michael, who is running it at the moment, is retiring in December and therefore they are desperate to get someone in as soon as possible to start training. This person will also be responsible for the purchase of the books and the banking of the money and will therefore need to be reliable and honest. The only other qualification would be a good sense of humour and a great deal of patience and a friendly personality
