New partnerships with utilities in the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden and Norway have boosted Dell’s worldwide renewable energy power sourcing to 26 percent, a figure that represents a 20 percent increase for the firm compared to 2008, a report in ClimateBiz dotcom says.

Nine Dell facilities are now powered with 100 percent renewable energy. The company’s headquarters, a 2.1-million-square-foot campus in Round Rock, Texas, moved to all-green power in 2008.

The eight other sites are here in Bracknell; Glasgow, Scotland; Frankfurt and Halle, Germany; Oslo, Norway; Stockholm, Sweden; Twin Falls, Idaho and Oklahoma City, Okla.
